Songs That Inspire

We spent the day listening to oldies on a radio station my grandson in his 2-year-old wisdom chose. There was Gloria Gaynor singing her heart and soul to I Will Survive. It is frisson-producing (new term I just learned) when the collaboration of singer/songwriter(s) comes together to create immortality. Other versions did not ever surpass hers.

I forget sometimes as I listen to a song that the singer may not have written the words to that song. In this case the credit goes to Freddie Perrin and Dino Ferakis (born in Pittsburgh).
